Understanding How Laser Tattoo Removal Works

Laser tattoo removal is a process that leverages advanced technology to effectively and safely remove unwanted tattoos. At Elimin8, we pride ourselves on utilizing the revolutionary Astanza Duality laser, to ensure precision, efficiency, and, most importantly, safety throughout the tattoo removal procedure.

The Science Behind Laser Tattoo Removal:

Tattoos are created by injecting ink pigment into the dermal layer of the skin. These pigments absorb and reflect different wavelengths of light, making them visible to the human eye.

Laser tattoo removal works by emitting pulses of high-intensity light in extremely short durations. The wavelength of the laser is carefully selected to correspond to the color of the tattoo pigment. As the laser energy penetrates the skin, it is selectively absorbed only by the tattoo pigment. This absorption generates heat, causing the pigment particles to fragment into smaller, more manageable particles.

The body’s natural processes then take over. The immune system recognizes these smaller particles as foreign bodies and gradually flushes them away through the lymphatic system. Over a series of treatment sessions, the tattoo fades, and the skin returns to its natural appearance.
